Moran, Kerry. NEPAL HANDBOOK, 3rd Edition. Moon Publishing Inc., 1999. Winner of the Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism Gold Award. Kerry Moran is a fantastic writer!

Thomas, Bryn. TREKKING IN THE ANNAPURNA REGION, 3rd Edition. Seven Hills Book Distributors, 1999. Fantastic detailed trail maps and useful information.

Buzruchka, Stephen (M.D.) TREKKING IN NEPAL, 7th Edition: A Traveler's Guide. The Mountaineers, 1997. Very useful for medical information, environmental tips and route & trail descriptions.

Bezruchka, Stephen (M.D.) NEPALI FOR TREKKERS, Mountaineers Books, 1992. Ninety minutes of phrases & vocabulary and a 48 page phrase booklet.

Choegyal, Lisa. INSIGHT POCKET GUIDE: NEPAL, Apa Productions, 1999. A very well written, overall Nepal tourist guide...brief but excellent. Hard to find!

Samson, Karl. FROMMER'S NEPAL, 4th Edition. IDG Books Worldwide, 1999. Has a complete Himalayan Trek Planner.

Reed, David. THE ROUGH GUIDE: NEPAL, 5th Edition. Rough Guides, 2002. Covers essential sights & attractions and helps you make the most of your time and your money.

Isaac, Jeff. THE OUTWARD BOUND WILDERNESS FIRST-AID HANDBOOK, The Lyons Press, 1998. An innovative approach to back country medicine that is easy to read and apply. It's a practical first-aid guide for use in the wilderness.
